A dwarf succulent native to the desert of South Africas Cape Province that forms clusters of thick, pale green, club-shaped leaves with flat, semi-transparent, dark mottled tips and yellow flowers. In cultivation Lithops localis 'Green Sandpoort' does best in drier, warm temperate climates. Lithops is adapted to sparse winter rains and is dormant in summer.
