    Den. speciosum var. curvicaule 'Chunky'

    A large sized, cool to warm growing terrestrial or lithophye in Queensland Australia and is a species from the D. speciosum alliance, it can be found in the coastal plains and in the highlands at elevations of 20 to 1200 meters with stems enveloped by sheaths carrying 4 large, leathery,, purplish leaves that blooms on an axillary, semi-erect to pendant, racemose, many flowered inflorescence that arise from the nodes at the apex of the cane occuring in the late winter and spring. They experience a wet season from summer through autumn and then it is considerably drier from winter till spring and they can take some direct sunlight.

    gracilicaule ‘StAustel’ x spec v grand ‘StAustel’

    On offer is a new release seedling of the Australian Native Dendrobium Orchid, D. Gracillimum, from the crossing of D. gracilicaule ‘St Austel’ x speciosum v grandiflorum’ St Austel’.

    Established in a 40mm square tube, this remake should produce no surprises – the seedlings will be floriferous, large growing, bright golden yellow blooms and quite large flowers for the hybrid.  Should be very nice Gracillimums come from this pairing.

    A great species from Australia. Stiff leaves and strong pseduobulbs produce cascades of 2 inch cream-white flowers when mature. Likes it dry in winter. Can tolerate the heat of summer and cooler temps in winter. Does well in intermediate temps.

    The curvicaule form is more compact in size. The sizes listed include multigrowth plants that are 3 years away from flowering for the lesser expensive ones to plants that are very near flowering size and Taller.
