Tillandsia Houston Cotton Candy (stricta x recurvifolia)

Tillandsia Houston is a hybrid cross of Tillandsia Stricta and Tillandsia Recurvifolia. This popular cross results in airplants that are an incredible combination of the best of both parents. It carries the rosette forming leafy growth of Tillandsia Stricta softened by the silvery colour from Tillandsia Recurvifolia.

There are several forms of Tillandsia Houston available, as well as this one we also grow Tillandsia Houston ‘Red Princess’ and the more compact growing Tillandsia Houston ‘Enano’.

As a result of the somewhat variable nature of Stricta, Tillandsia Houston can be a little variable in flower colour. Tillandsia Houston Cotton Candy produces flower from white to soft pink flowers from a wonderfully bright pink floral bract.
