A selection of Star Tickseed, this forms a low mound of fuzzy green leaves, bearing a very long display of single saucer-shaped golden yellow flowers. More tolerant of hot, dry sites than most other Coreopsis selections. Nice towards the front of a sunny border or in containers. Clumps may be divided in the spring every 3 to 4 years. This is a vegetative clone but it may self seed fairly true to form where happy. A North American native species, ranging from Kansas to Virginia, south to Florida and Texas. Deer resistant. Introduced by North Creek Nursery in Pennsylvania.

This selection blooms non stop from mid-summer until October with saucer-like flowers over low spreading, slightly fuzzy foliage. An easy to grow self sowing plant, when happy. Likes hot, bright, well-drained spots, but is not fussy at all. An easy native for sun or part shade. Neither heat or mildew seems to phase this performer. Best planted in groups and always has a flock of butterflies nearby.
