ORIGIN: Found in Sao Paulo state Brazil amongst boulders near promonotories.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovate, elongate, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying 3 apical leaves and blooms in the spring on an erect, 28 to 40 [70 to 100 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence.
