Melicytus micranthus (Hook.f.) Hook.f.

Melicytus micranthus is a shrub to small tree with stiff interlaced branches.  Leaves have particularly obvious veins and are solitary or in clusters. Leaf margins have shallow rounded teeth and have a variable shape but are most commonly widest at the middle.
An endemic species found throughout the North and South Islands.
