Mathiasella are perennials, producing terminal umbels of long-lasting green, nodding bell-shaped flowers which gradually turn pink from spring through to autumn.

Mathiasella bupleuroides 'Green Dream' is native to Mexico, and was discovered only in 1954. It bears umbelliferous flowerheads, from which incredible, nodding, jade-green, bracts appear from April to June. These gradually turn pink and persist well into autumn.

Mathiasella bupleuroides 'Green Dream' thrives in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. It may need protection from the harshest winter frosts. The flowers are great for cutting and drying.
