Description

Chaenomeles speciosa 'Yukigoten' is a large, vigorous Flowering Quince. From early spring this deciduous shrub bears elegant double white flowers upon bare, spiny stems which are later cloaked in green foliage. The blooms are always busy with pollinating insects and provide a valuable source of nectar early in the season. Prominent, aromatic yellow fruits extend the display well into autumn. These are edible and make tasty jellies and preserves. This fast growing shrub is ideal for growing against a sunny wall or as a free standing specimen in borders. Height: 250cm (98"). Spread: 200cm (78").
