Hypericum 'Sunny Boulevardt' is a recent horticultural variety derived from Hypericum kalmianum, a botanical species native to North America. This variety 'Sunny Boulevard' was developed in the United States. All St. John's wort belong to the Clusiaceae family. Of medium rapid growth, the shrub reaches an average of 80 cm in all directions, depending on the growing conditions. It shows a rounded habit, very bushy, very regular, carried by quadrangular stems. They are lined with long, long, whole and narrow leaves, most often semi-evergreen in winter (deciduous in very harsh winters). Elongated, pointed leaves, 4-6 cm long, of a beautiful acid green, sometimes becoming orange-red in autumn. It blooms from July to September, for 3 months, depending on the climate. The flowers, produced in abundance in bouquets of 5-7 flowers of 3-4 cm of diameter, are composed of 5 rounded petals, golden yellow to orange, arranged in an open cup. The center of the flower is occupied by a bouquet of prominent stamens, particularly decorative. This flowering is followed by the formation of small conical fruits of red color, becoming browner when ripe.
