    Oxalis spiralis ssp. vulcanicola 'Plum Crazy' has cute, clover-shaped pink and purple variegated foliage. Petite, but densely growing, this shamrock is a wonderfully colourful and super easy-going houseplant perfect for small spaces!

    Oxalis 'Plum Crazy' will grow cute yellow flowers during the growing season, adding an extra pop of colour to its vibrant features. This houseplant opens and closes its leaves in response to light. At night, the plant looks like clusters of butterflies that then open wide to the morning light. Its continuous motion enchants all who grow it!

    Oxalis 'Plum Crazy' prefers a bright spot in your home. With its succulent stems it can get by with only occasional watering. However, it will looks best with a bit more frequent watering during the growing season.

    Oxalis spiralis ssp. vulcanicola 'Plum Crazy' is hardy down to around -5 degrees Celsius. So, you can grow it outdoors in warmer European climates.     The species Oxalis spiralis is native to Central and South America, ranging from Chiapas to Peru and this subspecies, Oxalis spiralis ssp. vulcanicola, ranges from El Salvador, through Costa Rica into Panama where it grows in evergreen montane forests.
