Oxalis squamata
Oxalis squamata is a herbaceous perennial in the Oxalidaceae family. It's registered as winter hardy at USDA zone 5 and higher. The origin of this species is South America.
Oxalis squamata is a dicot with tricolpat pollen, an eudicot. These plants evolved from common ancestors 140 millioner years ago, and is the largest clade of current plants. The clade contains most "usual" plants, includings most trees. Eudicotes germinate with two embryonic leaves. Often the flowers have four or five parts, the leaf nerves formes a network, and the root develops from a central radicle.
