General Information

Plants glabrous, rosulate terrestrials to 60 cm tall. Roots several, cylindrical and nearly tuberlike, 5-15 mm diam. Leaves pale green to gray-green, basal, spreading, short petiolate; blades lanceolate, ovate to elliptic, acute to acuminate, 2-8 cm long, 0.8-3 cm wide. Inflorescences terminal, erect, pedunculate, racemose many-flowered; floral bracts erect, lanceolate, long acuminate, 3-4.5 mm long. Flowers brownish green to coppery, resupinate, perianth parts slightly swollen basally and apically reflexed. Ovary subsessile, erect, apically geniculate, 2.5-4 mm long. Dorsal sepal linear-lanceolate, 4-6 mm long, 0.7-1.2 mm wide; lateral sepals linear-lanceolate, often strongly falcate, 4-6.5 mm long, 0.7-1.2 mm wide, basal 1-1.5 mm wide, adnate. Petals slightly falcate, linear-lanceolate 4-5 mm long, 0.5-1.2 mm wide, adherent to each other and the dorsal sepal. Lip entire, sometimes basally auriculate, short-unguiculate, elliptic-lanceolate to ovatelanceolate, obtuse-rounded, 3.5-6 mm long, 1-2.5 mm wide. Column clavate, 2-2.5 mm long. Fruits ovoid, erect, 4-6 mm long.
