KEY CHARACTERISTICS

This variable species is usually easily distinguished from all other South American species by its leaves which have bifurcate auricles combined with pink flowers with corollas 2–2.5 cm long.

Convolvulus chilensiscan grow with climbing habit (on shrubs, kiosks, etc ...) and as a creeper, lying on the ground bare. It has generally very dissecting leaves, although both its shape and size are extremely variable depending on the habitat.

Depending on its geographical location, flowering can occur between August and January. The flowers are very short-lived, fading definitively within hours of opening.
