Anisomeria is a genus of plants in the Phytolaccaceae family containing three species, Anisomeria bistrata, Anisomeria coriacea, and Anisomeria littoralis.

Anisomeria chilensis is a kermesberry plant species first described by John Miers, and given its current name by H.Walter. Anisomeria chilensis is included in the genus Anisomeria and the family of  kermes berry plants.  No subspecies are listed in the Catalogue of Life.

Anisomeria chilensis

In Chile this species grows between sea level and 500 m.Mainly in rainfed areas, where the dry period without rainfall lasts 6 to 10 months.Rainfall reaches 100 to 300 mm annually, concentrating in winter. Plants receive water mainly from the air by condensation. It grows in full sun without any protection, flat parts or northern exposure slopes. Plant exposed, but with protection against direct light by coastal fog (camanchaca).
