The sweet palm of Mexico, soyale or palma soyale Brahea dulcis is a species of palm in the Arecaceae family. It is found from Mexico to Peru.
It is a palm tree that reaches a size of up to 6 and 7 m in height. It has green leaves, paler on the underside, have the appearance of a fan and are rigid. The flowers are yellowish-brown and arranged in long inflorescences. The fruits are yellow, edible.
Native to western and central Mexico to Guatemala and Peru. It is found in semi-dry climate at an altitude of 1100 meters, associated with tropical deciduous forest.
