Really really cool birdsnest fern that forms tiny plantlets on the tips of each leaf. This is an uncommon fern with such an interesting growth habit. This little fern stays a reasonable size and is a pleasure to grow. This easy to grow fern likes shade and humidity, and would probably even do well in a terrarium.

This is an unusual miniature fern in the Bird’s Nest Fern family. It forms narrow, evergreen fronds with sinuate margins or wave-like indentations. The fronds have a “tail like” leaf extension on the ends. When mature, it also forms little plantlets on the tips of the “tails”. I’ve only seen this cutie reach a height of about 12″. It is easy to grow as long as you keep it in a warm shady area, slightly moist, and protect from freezing temperatures. This is an uncommon fern for collectors.
