Another award-winning Konijnenburg & Mark variety from the 1950s, Kingsblood is dark cherry-red, edged scarlet. Tulip Class: Single Late. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. May. HZ: 3-8. 24".

This deep scarlet red variety is a beautiful addition to the border. The vibrant colour is a great, stylish choice for bringing a splash of interest in spring, and looks great planted beside similar shades or contrasting colours such as white or dark purple-black. Try planting beside other Single Late Tulips for a stunning mix of many colours which make for a great spectacle from mid-April throughout May. The sturdy stems, large flower heads and long flowering times are a highlight of this spring beauty. We recommend planting around 10-15cm deep in well drained, fertile soil. This variety grows to 60cm. We recommend planting in a sunny spot, or in partial shade. 11/12cm bulbs supplied.
