Croton 'Banana' (Codiaeum variegatum) is a beautifully plant with interesting leaves. It has an upright growth and long, narrow leaves spotted with gold. Another cool thing about the leaves is that the are outlined in yellow which is very striking. This Croton has a woody stem and is technically considered an evergreen shrub. Croton 'Banana' is actually a smaller Croton than you would normally see. Water normally and don't allow the soil to remain wet. Allow to dry between watering. Crotons love humidity and will appreciate a humidity tray beneath the pot,  but will also do well in common household humidity levels. They are sensitive plants to being moved and will go into shock and drop leaves. This is completely normal and the leaves will grow back quickly. It is best to pick a spot in the home and try not to move the plant too much. They are also sensitive to temperatures and will drop leaves if the temp gets below 60 degrees.
