Reka is probably the heaviest producer among highbush blueberries. The fruit is smaller and resemble woodland blueberries. It is also one of the hardiest. It needs a pollinator = another variety of blueberry.

Highbush blueberry needs full sun and acidic soil. Prepare a border 40-50 cm deep, fill it with pure peat mixed with good lime-free compost and after planting mulch your blueberry with bark. Keep the soil moist. Use selective fertilizers for ericaceous plants. Fullyhardy to -40°C (USDA zone 3).
