Talinum paniculatum is a succulent subshrub in the Talinaceae family that is native to much of the western hemisphere. It is commonly known as fameflower,Jewels-of-Opar(a name borrowed from the title of the novel Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar by Edgar Rice Burroughs), or pink baby's-breath.
Native distribution
Talinum paniculatum is native to the southern United States, much of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Common names include Ceylon spinach,[2] waterleaf, cariru, Gbure, Surinam purslane, Philippine spinach, Florida spinach, potherb fameflower, Lagos bologi, sweetheart, and Kutu bataw in Ghana from the Akan language It is widely grown in tropical regions as a leaf vegetable.
The plant grows erect, reaching a height of 30 to 100 cm (12 to 39 in). It bears small, pink flowers and broad, fleshy leaves.
