This hybrid tea rose, ‘Lenip,’ blooms in flushes from late spring to fall with classically high-centered, large, double (extra petals) flowers that are a blend of white and cream, and mildly fragrant. The flowers are borne singly or in a cluster of two or three at the tip of long, new stems good for cutting. This deciduous, upright, vigorous shrub has leaves that are glossy and dark green.

Like most roses, ‘Lenip’ (also known as Pascali) grows and flowers best in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. It needs a steady supply of nutrients and water, but fertilize and water sparingly to avoid encouraging lanky growth. Mulch with compost, shredded leaves, or composted manure to enrich the soil and conserve moisture. Though ‘Lenip’ is resistant to disease, it helps to give the plant room so breezes can dry the leaves after a rain. Also, avoid wetting the leaves when watering the plant; water the soil directly. To produce repeated flushes of bloom, prune spent stems to a leaf with five or more leaflets and a bud at its base. A new stem will arise from the bud. Use ‘Lenip’ as a specimen plant in a mixed border, against a south facing wall or fence, grouped to fit the scale of a large yard, or for cut flowers.
