Height and Width: 6.5 feet tall and 11.5 feet wide.

Habit:

Deciduous, strongly horizontal, large shrub, twice as wide as high.

Foliage:

Dark green leaves with 8-12 pairs of nearly straight veins. Fall coloration is dull purplish-red to maroon.

Flowers:

Abundant, large (4-6 inches), flat to mounded cymes in double rows along branches with 5-7 outer marginal florets larger than a half dollar, additional 5-15 inner sterile florets dispersed among inner fertile flowers.

Fruit:

A drupe. Bright red, upright fruit clusters ornamental for several weeks in late July.
