Zamioculcas (common name "Zanzibar Gem" or "ZZ Plant") is a genus of flowering plant in the family Araceae, containing the single species Zamioculcas zamiifolia. It is a tropical perennial plant native to eastern Africa, from Kenya south to northeastern South Africa.
