Dendrobium atroviolaceum - Wikipedia
A compact member of the Latouria section, long-lasting nodding flowers appear at the apex of the canes in the spring. Each cane can bloom several times. This particular form is of the cross between the pygmy form called normanbyense and the standard form. The flowers look exactly the same and to be truthful, we don't think the compact or pygmy form should have been given a separate species status. This cross is now called Little Atro and that is how we have it labeled. Just be aware of the naming problem. This is a real easy plant to grow and flower and is quite sturdy.
