Camptandra parvula is a species of flowering plant in the Ginger family. The species was first scientifically described by John Gilbert Baker in 1890 under the nomenclature Kaempferia parvula following George King's earlier description. In 1899, Henry Nicholas Ridley moved it to the genus Camptandra.
In the Checklist of the Zingiberaceae of Malesia 2004, Newman et al. consider Camptandra gracillima as a genus of C. parvula, under the nomenclature Camptandra parvula var. angustifolia Ridl., 1899.
Distribution
It is found at altitudes of about 600–1,200 m (2,000–4,000 ft) on rocky or riverbank soils in the states of Selangor (Bukit Kutu), Pahang (Tahan River), Penang (Government Hill), Perak (Thaiping Hills, Bujong Malacca, Goping = Gopeng), Malaysia.
Typical specimens: Dr. King s.n. = H.H. Kunstler s.n., collected by Hermann H. Kunstler (1837-1887).
