Justification:

Tree up to 10 m, endemic to Brazil (Flora do Brasil 2020 under construction, 2018). It was collected in Campo Rupestre and Cerrado (lato sensu) associated with the Cerrado in the states of Bahia, Distrito Federal, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais and Tocantins. It has a wide distribution, EOO=1225104 km², several records deposited in biological collections, including collections carried out recently (, and confirmed occurrence in Conservation Units of full protection. The species occurs in multiple phytophysiognomies, frequently in most of the locations where it was recorded. There are no data on population trends that attest to potential reductions in the number of mature individuals, and no potential or effective uses that compromise their existence in nature are described. Thus, E. glomeratus was considered as Least Concern (LC), requiring research actions (distribution, trends and population numbers) in order to expand the available knowledge and ensure its perpetuation in nature.
