Paeonia 'Bartzella' has warm butter yellow flowers with orange-red centres. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.

This has large, gentle lemon scented, frilly, soft yellow flowers with a flare of magenta around delicate yellow stamens. The flowers are carried above a handsome mound of big, leathery leaves that neatly drop off in autumn. Has been known to send up shoots that produce flowers in September. Mid season.
