Description: Sycoparrotia 'Purple Haze' is a large spreading shrub with long, semi-evergreen, glossy green leaves, turning red, orange, yellow and purple in autumn. Small yellow-orange flowers open from woolly, brown buds in spring.

Oblong to elliptic leaves up to 8cm long are semi-evergreen with some turning shades of yellow, orange and reddish-purple before falling in autumn; new growth emerges tinted deep reddish-purple in spring before turning glossy green. In late winter to early spring, dense clusters of flowers open from brown buds with yellow anthers tinged red surrounded by purple-brown bracts
