Cyathopsis albicans is a species of plant in the family Ericaceae, endemic to New Caledonia. It was first described as Leucopogon albicans in 1864 by Adolphe-Théodore Brongniart and Jean Antoine Arthur Gris, and transferred to Cyathopsis in 2005 by Christopher John Quinn.

GEOGRAPHICAL AREA
C. albicans is a common and abundant shrub endemic to New Caledonia, distributed from the southern peridotite massifs to the central part of Grande Terre, as well as Kopéto on the west coast.POPULATION
Population size is unknown, but field observations indicate the species is locally abundant.HABITAT
C. albicans occurs in scrubland on soils derived from ultramafic substrate from 100 to 1,000 m asl.THREATS
This species does not seem directly threatened, although some subpopulations may be impacted by actual mining activities (Camp des sapins (SLN), Koniambo (KNS) and Kopéto (SLN)) and potential future mining projects at Creek Pernod.CONSERVATION
C. albicans is not protected by any legislation in New Caledonia, but it occurs in four protected areas: Mont Do, Haute Yaté, Montagne des sources and Parc de la Rivière bleue.endemia.nc - Cyathopsis albicans
