Phyllostachys vivax f. aureocaulis

국표에는 없다.

비슷한 것으로는 황조죽  Phyllostachys aureosulcata McClure이 있다.

Phyllostachys are attractive, tall, evergreen bamboos that make an architectural statement in the garden.

Phyllostachys vivax f. aureocaulis is a very vigorous bamboo with tall thick, golden-yellow canes that are randomly striped with green. In its native China it can reach over 20m and will form a thicket that’s around 8m high in UK gardens. For this reason it’s best grown as a single specimen in a large garden. 

For best results grow Phyllostachys aureosulcata f. aureocaulis in moist but well-drained soil. In the right conditions it can spread, so limit the roots with a non-perishable barrier.
