A delightful species with pale pink flowers and unusual leaves, each leaflet looking like an old-fashioned battle axe.

Oxalis is an enormous genus, with the majority coming from South America and South Africa.  Only a few South American species are included in this list, and are noted as such.  The South African species are largely winter-growers, brightening the dreary months with their exuberant flowers, then go dormant in summer when they should be kept dry.  They are best appreciated as container plants, and need sun to open their flowers.  SHIPS JUNE-SEPTEMBER
