Begonia Beleaf® 'Arctic Breeze' lies in the Rex Cultorum Horticultural Group, a grouping that contains rhizomatous hybrids and cultivars with attractive leaf colourations, that have been bred from the species Begonia rex. This evergreen perennial cultivar has been bred to be slightly smaller then Begonia rex only getting to 30cm long. Its leaves are brightly coloured metallic silver with attractive darker green markings along the veining in the centre of the textured leaves. Leaves have roughly toothed margins. Frequently grown indoors as a houseplant for its striking foliage, this plant suits container growing. It has a bushy habit and is frost tender, so it is recommended to keep above freezing temperatures, and plant in a position of partial sunlight, in moist well-draining soil for optimal growth.
