Description: 'Romance' is one of the most popular and appreciated Echinopsis cultivars, it is the result of more than 20 years of devoted work by cacti enthusiast and hybridiser Bob Schick. (ISI 98-11; HBG 81763, Schick 1255-3.)
Habit: Semicolumnar.
Stem: Up to 9 cm in diameter.
Central spines: Up to 21 mm long.
Flowers: Blooms are large up to 13,5 cm in diameter.
Tepals: Obovate, ruffled, dark velvety purplish-pink with narrow pale purplish-pink margins and dark reddish-pink midrib.
Throat-circle: White.
Filaments: Light pink.
Stigma: Light green.
