Nymphaea ‘Marliacea Chromatella’

Nymphaea ‘Marliacea Chromatella’ is commonly known as Golden Cup, this is not only one of the most reliable yellows, but one of the most popular water lillies regardless of colour. A slow growing variety, sometimes making an enormous size. Conversely it can sometimes rot away in anaerobic and acidic conditions. This hybrid was created by Latour-Marliac, France, in 1887.

Water depth: 30-75cm (1-2.5ft), measured from the growing point of the plant.

Spread: Nymphaea ‘Marliacea Chromatella’ should have an ultimate spread of 100cm (3ft) once established.

Flowering time: June to September.
