Nymphaea odorata subsp. tuberosa 'Gladstoniana'식물/들꽃-수련과(Nymphaeaceae) 2021. 10. 2. 15:56
Nymphaea odorata subsp. tuberosa has large white flowers with beautiful yellow centre and green lily pads, not particularly free flowering. Suitable for a lake or large pool.
Water depth: 30-75cm (measured from the growing point of the plant)
Spread: Nymphaea odorata subsp. tuberosa should have an ultimate spread of 1.2m (4ft) once established.
Flowering time: June to September.
Planting time: Plant rhizomes should be potted during the growing season only, in the spring and summer. For this variety of waterlily we would recommend planting your water lily rhizome into a 5L fine mesh basket.
Aspect: Position in full sun, ideally with a minimum of 6 hours of sunshine each day.
Hardiness: Fully hardy, grown outdoors in our lily ponds. We do not “force” our waterlilies in greenhouses or polytunnels so they are fully hardy and ready to be planted out straight away.
Species distribution: Eastern N. America.
Synonyms: Nymphaea tuberosa, Nymphaea ‘Tuberosa’.
