'White Nugget' is a color sport of 'Gold Nugget' blooming in mid-spring with bright white flowers. This is a very cold hardy ice plant that is small growing that needs afternoon shade and moister soil.

One in our Toe Tickler Collection, 'White Nugget' Ice Plant is a low, spreading, evergreen perennial plant that is covered with loads of bright white, daisy-like, quilled flowers during spring and summer. The succulent foliage grows to about 1 to 2 inches in height with a spread of around 12 inches. It is exceptionally tolerant of heat, drought, and salt, and ignored by deer.

'White Nugget' is a wonderfully attractive succulent suitable for everything from rock gardens to containers. Spreading to make a solid mat of green foliage, White Nugget makes a great groundcover or low border in garden beds and rock gardens.

Ice Plants are easy to grow providing they are planted in very well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Sandy or rocky soils are best so. when planting, add some gravel or sand if necessary to the backfill mix. Constantly wet or soggy soil can cause the roots and plants to rot. Be careful not to overwater these drought tolerant succulents. When established, they need only occasional water during prolonged periods of dry weather.
