Ornamental Features

J.W. Daisy's White Spruce has attractive powder blue-tipped bluish-green foliage with hints of white which emerges yellow in spring. The needles are highly ornamental and remain bluish-green throughout the winter. Neither the flowers nor the fruit are ornamentally significant.

The Picea glauca 'Daisy's White', is a pretty, dwarf evergreen spruce conifer with a compact, pyramidal to conical shape with a dense growth habit.

 

In summer, the bright cream-yellow new growth gradually darkens to a blue-green, and retains its colour all winter long.

 

Suitable for planting as a container specimen or rock gardens.
