Alvarez is sister to ludmaniana Mend which has Albo-Marginated leaves vs the variegation in Alvarez. This cross has leaves that start out with beautiful variegation that will blush an intense red on the leaf surface with strong filtered light. Prefers a very intense light such as 30% - 50% shade cloth for best color. Its rosette can grow up to 2 feet tall and 2 feet wide.
