Form: Erect, branching shrub growing on exposed limestone cliffs

Stem: Pale bark

Levaes: Obvoate, opposite leaves with short petioles. The leaves contain very distinugished pale midvein and D-shaped stipules. Every leaf pair is offset from the pair above it and below it.

Flower: White flower having a long tubular shape occuring on 1 to a few short pedicels in leaf axils. The flower resembles a trumpet with its calyx having 2 short D-shaped bracts.

Fruit: 2- celled capsules that are fibrous, woody, and elongate.

Seeds: Small and black

Propagation: Seeds

Habitat: Limestone ridges near the sea
