Geranium sanguineum 'Max Frei'

Flowers: May-September.  Plant in full sun.  HxS 25x30cm

This is a lovely compact geranium forming tight mounds of neat dark green foliage with good autumn colour.  The flowers are dark purple with a tiny white eye.  Cranesbills are tolerant of most soils and excellent in dry soil, as are all the members of this species.  Hardy to -20C.  Try it on banks or slopes, or the mixed herbaceous border.
