New kalanchoe cultivar Dahong was derived from a cross between Maya and Dennis, and was preliminarily selected in 1996. After evaluation on a farm in Goyang, it was finally selected as a good cultivar in 1997. Plant height at flowering is short and plants are wide. Flowers are red and abundant. Required days for induction of flower buds were 5 weeks under 10 hours day-length.
