Anemone rossii S.Moore is a synonym of Anemone baicalensis Turcz.

A mountain species whose Japanese name is ‘two-flower’, as each rhizome normally has a pair of flowers. The leaves are cut into rounded lobes at the edges and very attractively marked on the upper surface in silver and green.
