Paphiopedilum henryanum

 

Paphiopedilum henryanum occurs in few localities in northern Viet Nam (Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang provinces) and southern China (southwest Guangxi, southeast Yunnan). It grows in primary, broad-leaved, evergreen, mixed, mossy, open and coniferous or semi-deciduous forests on rocky crystalline limestone closed forests, crevices of shaded cliffs, rocky and well-drained places in evergreen broad-leaved forests at elevation of 610 to 1400 meters.

Paphiopedilum henryanum also called as Henry's Paphiopedilum, Paphiopedilum chaoi, Paphiopedilum dollii, Paphiopedilum henryanum f. album, Paphiopedilum henryanum f. chaoi, Paphiopedilum henryanum f. christae, Paphiopedilum henryanum var. christae, is a species of the genus Paphiopedilum. This species was described by Guido Jozef Braem in 1987.
