여름철 보랏빛 분홍색으로 피는 꽃이 매력적이다. 미국에서 선발 육종된 홍단심계 품종으로 무궁화 '마브퀸'과의 차이점이 없어 1990년 한국무궁화연구회에서 이름을 통일하였다.
