The rare and little-known Dasylirion berlandieri is a member of the section Glaucophyllum. It is common in northeastern Mexico. Typical are the thin, variable, waxy bluish leaves that cover the short trunk. Due to different conditions at the various locations, deviations in appearance are recognizable. It is similar to Dasylirion palaciosii, but with an overall narrower inflorescence.
