DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, warm to cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 loose, tubular sheaths carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse leaf that is narrowly cuneate below into the stout petiole that blooms in the spring and fall on a congested, successively several flowered, racemose, 14 [35 cm] long, slender, erect, triquetrous inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a basal bract and a thin, imbricating, tubular floral bract holding the successive, several flowers well above the leaf.
