Morphology

Succulent shrub, with compact centre and long woody trailing, mostly climbing branches. Stems with internodes short in centre but longer than leaves on long-shoots. Leaves. Trigonous to rhombic with subapical widening and thickening, i.e. gibbose or humped, 25-35 mm long, 7-10 mm thick, with 1-6 brittle teeth along margins, velvety. Flowers solitary, bracteolate, petals bright yellow, often with a white base. Fruit 10-locular.
