Diagnostic Description
A rigid shrub, 1-1.5 ft. Stem nodulose, leafless at the base; branches closely leafy. Leaves imbricate, 0.5-1 inch long, nearly 1 line wide, upper ones smaller. Peduncles 1-2 inches long, rarely longer, 1-3-flowered. Calyx-tube short; lobes 1.5 lines long. Corolla blue; lobes of the lower lip oval or obovate.

Morphology
Erect shrublet to 50 cm. Leaves dense, rigid, acicular, margins entire and revolute. Flowers blue.

Suffruticose; branches erect; leaves approximate, erect, linear, carinate, subtrigonal, acute, quite entire, with subrevolute margins, glabrous or pubescent; peduncles terminal, few, equalling the leaves or somewhat longer, bracteated; tube of calyx hemispherical, silky as the peduncle by appressed hairs; lobes of calyx lanceolate, acuminate, 4 times shorter than the pubescent corolla.
