Oxalis corymbosa aureo-reticulata식물/들꽃-괭이밥과(Oxalidaceae) 2022. 10. 3. 14:02
"Gold Veined Oxalis" Low habit of soft "Shamrock" mimic leaves with yellow retriculation; pink flowers profusely produced in spring. Tends to go dormant in Southern (and even Midwestern) summer heat. Loves the late winter conditions of your greenhouse or sunny southern windowsill. The dormant bulblets are odd little white tapioca like soft orbs--one customer called to explain she had just discarded the pot of disgusting maggots we had sent her. She had tossed out her dormant Oxalis bublets before they could even sprout foliage!

Oxalis corymbosa aureo-reticulata, also known as the gold veined shamrock, is a very striking plant. It features gold veins running through the 3 lobed leaves and creates an enchanting little mound. As a bonus it has beautiful pink blooms that are presented high above the foliage. This plant has a tendency to go dormant during hot summers. So don't throw it out. It will return when the weather cools off.
