Xanthostemon Chrisanthus ‘Fairhill Gold’

Normally Xanthostemon is a spectacular golden flowering rainforest tree, but ‘Fairhill Gold’ is a dwarf form growing to 3- 4 metres tall and 1-2 metres wide, a good size for gardens and landscaping. Suits frost free areas, and while it can be grown in cooler temperate areas, flowering may be erratic and the plant will be less vigorous. The trusses of bright golden yellow flowers are borne in summer and autumn, and are good for nectar feeding wildlife. The foliage is attractive when the tree is not flowering, with the leaves being large and glossy on a well shaped plant.  Best in a sunny spot in well drained and moist soils. It can be pruned to size if desired, and can be grown in large containers.
